Welcome to Alameda Community Acupuncture!
About Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most common and dependable medical therapies used in the world. It is by nature simple, safe and effective health care. Acupuncturists use thin, sterile, and disposable needles inserted superficially into specific areas of the body in order to help the body's ability to heal itself. Over the three decades or so in which acupuncture has developed in the U.S., it has been proven to be exceptionally safe when performed by licensed acupuncturists, and also statistically effective in an increasing body of scientific studies.
Our Philosophy and Community Model
The body has the ability to heal itself. Very often, our physical or emotional symptoms are ways our bodies try to nudge us to pay attention. Our body-mind-spirit is an interconnected whole. In our healing sessions, we help your body-mind-spirit to realign and dissolve blockages so your body can wake up to its natural healing power.
Health and wellness cultivation is often a gradual, non-linear process and it can feel much easier and doable when you have the right supportive environment. At ACA, we support people in their commitment to building a strong foundation of health over time, lessening the need for more expensive and invasive procedures later.
Our current semi-private community setting means families and friends can receive treatments together. We are often told by our patients that the collective healing field in our healing space amplifies the power of each individual's treatment.
Our clinic is based on a social business model meaning our goal is to maximize social change instead of maximizing profit. We are able to keep our prices affordable and be a sustainable business because of the support of our wonderful community. One great way to help us with our mission is to tell your friends about us and help us spread the word. Together, we can create a healthier community.
