Two-for-One Special 9/4-9/15

One great thing about community acupuncture is that you can come with a friend, or a loved one and get acupuncture treatments together. We really enjoy seeing people coming in doubles, or a small group even!

To celebrate that and our new Fall schedule, we are doing a Two-for-One special for our acupuncture treatments from 9/4 (Tue.) thru 9/15 (Sat.). In the next 2 weeks, come get acupuncture treatment with another person and pay only one acu treatment fee. It is open to everyone, doesn't matter if you've been here before or not. Even better, you can use this special offer multiple times within these 2 weeks.

If you are new to us, the $10 new patients paperwork fee still applies. This Two-for-One special is not to be combined with any other specials/discounts.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

How can acupuncture help cyclists?
-any neck, wrist, knee, back pain from long rides
-faster recovery from injuries and surgery
-general health

Many professional athletes such as Steve Young (NFL), Yao Ming (NBA), Paula Radcliff (runner) have used acupuncture regularly to help with recovery from injuries and get back on their game. Find out how it can help you too.

Alameda is such a great town for cycling. Never commuted on a bicycle before? Visit http://www.bikealameda.org and participate in a bike commuter workshop to learn street riding skills. Ride safe, and bring a lock!

To make an appointment, the most flexible way is to click on "Make An Appointment"on the top right of this page, and register to use our online appointment program.

You can also call 510-255-0880 to make an appointment.

Movie screening: Laboring Under an Illusion: Mass Media Childbirth vs. The Real Thing (A fundraising event for Pacifica Family Maternity Center)

Alameda Community Acupuncture is delighted to be a venue for a fundraising event for the new Pacifica Family Maternity Center.
-------------------------------------------

Pacifica Family Maternity Center is being proposed as a free-standing birth center designed specifically to serve the diverse population of Alameda County. Pacifica will provide midwifery care to women and families who desire a safe, affordable, and individualized alternative to hospital and homebirth.

It will be located in North Oakland less than 1 mile from Alta Bates, and it will be the closest accredited birth center to Alameda that accepts most insurance. They need your help to raise funds to make this birth center a reality!

Please join us Saturday April 14th 6:30-9pm at Alameda Community Acupuncture for this fundraising event, which include:

  • Movie Screening of Laboring Under an Illusion: Mass Media Childbirth vs. The Real Thing. This hilarious and thought-provoking movie respects women's ability to decide for themselves what sort of childbirth experiences they want to aim for.
  • Q&A session about the birth center with midwives and Pacifica founders, Cindy Haag and Sonja Cahoon.
  • Silent auctions, which include: a house concert with Bay Area singer/songwriter Megan Slankard, massage with Kristan Trunzo, photography session with Barbara Walker Photography, quality wine, and many other items from local Bay Area businesses.
  • Wine and hor dourves.

Come support the creation of this new birth center!

For more information about Pacifica and to purchase tickets, please visit: pacificamaternity.com. Tickets will also be sold at the door but buy now before the event sells out.
